In this course you will learn the key issues associated with work zone access and egress, including practices, strategies, and techniques that can be employed during the planning and construction phases to help mitigate risk. Key concerns are minimizing the impact of accelerating and decelerating construction vehicles on traffic flow, maintaining access and egress points during construction, and incorporating access and egress into Internal Traffic Control Plans (ITCPs).
