Motorcycles/Bicycles Work Zone Safety

In this course you will learn how to plan for the safety of two specific road user types in work zones: motorcyclists and bicyclists. The course presents the specific conditions that pose hazards for these road users and the mitigation measures for each. Included are degradations in pavement surface, degradations in pavement friction, pavement discontinuities and abrupt elevation changes, and degradations in roadway geometrics. Recommended practices for improving safety are presented.
